ABOUT ALEXIA
I started with words. Then I started asking bigger questions.
PORTLAND, OREGON
I’m a writer, editor, strategist, and creative leader. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked across healthcare, entertainment, technology, travel, and consumer brands—learning how different audiences think, what makes them care, and how the right story can change what happens next.

THE THROUGHLINE
Different industries. Different audiences. Same question: what will make someone care?
I’ve written entertainment campaigns, video scripts, healthcare experiences, brand stories, digital content, and more. The subject changes. The audience changes. The format changes. What doesn’t change is the work of finding the idea that matters—and expressing it clearly enough to connect.
Craft Still Matters
I've always been an editor.
Even when my title stopped including the word “writer,” I never stopped thinking like one. I still notice the opening, the rhythm, the unnecessary sentence, the idea buried three paragraphs too deep. That attention to craft now shapes how I set direction, give feedback, develop people, and judge whether the work is actually good.
People
The best thing I’ve built isn’t a piece of content.
Over 10 years, I’ve mentored eight writers and content strategists through editorial coaching, strategic guidance, and career development. All eight went on to larger roles, greater responsibility, or significantly stronger capabilities. I’m proud of the work I’ve made. I’m even prouder of the people who became better at making it.
Learn the audience. Find the idea. Make every word earn its place.
That was true when I was writing entertainment copy. It’s true when I’m shaping a healthcare experience. And it’s still how I approach the work I lead today.
What’s Next
I want the work to matter.
I’m most interested in work where creativity can do something meaningful—help someone understand their health, experience a great story, discover a place, change a behavior, see an issue differently, or make a better decision. I’m drawn to ambitious organizations tackling interesting problems, especially when the story is complicated and the human stakes are real.
I’m also interested in what new technology makes possible. But technology is a tool. The audience, the idea, the judgment, and the story still come first.
